Spanish Classes
Prof Tran received his PhD and MA in Romance Linguistics & Literatures from UCLA. And his B.A. in Spanish Linguistics from UCI. He is a Lecturer of Linguistics & Vietnamese at UCI, Lecturer of Education at CSUF. He is an Instructor of Spanish at Fullerton College and at Sakya Community Service Center. In addition, he serves as an editorial member at Da Mau Literary Magazine, Board member at The Union of Overseas Vietnamese Language Schools. Vocal & Guitar Classes
Founders of “Thế Hệ Trẻ” and “Young Generation Arts Academy,” producer of music programs & music video for “Hải Âu” and “Thế Hệ Trẻ” production. After their retirement, they became volunteer instructors for vocal & guitar classes for those who love to sing and play guitar. This ideal artistic couple are most sought after music, voice and guitar instructors at SCSC
Line Dancing classes
Mr. Khai Le is a former member of the ARVN Airforce. He resettled in the US in 1988. He has his heart on Ball Room Dancing since 1990 on. He joined SCSC in September 2022 as a Line Dance instructor


Qigong Classes
Master Tran has studied Tai Chi since 1972. He currently teaches a class in QiGong at Sakya Community Services Center. QiGong aims to cultivate and balance the body’s vital energy, supports cognitive functions, and enhances immune function. It offers a holistic approach to supporting senior’s well-being. In combination with Tai Chi, students of Master Phuoc Tran’s classes develop a consistent and regular approach to enhance their physical strength coupled with training the mind to effectively delay and suppress the degenerative effect of old age on our mind.
Meditative Yoga Classes
Under the devoted guidance of Ms. Cat Tien, the students learn to cultivate a state of peace and contentment in both their bodies and minds, as well as to sustain a harmonious flow to enhance flexibility, and achieve physical balance. The mind and the body nourish each other to maintain their strength together, in so doing delay the possible decay of the mind


French Class
Students learned to communicate in the enchanting language that has long held a connection with Vietnamese culture. Ngoc Pham emigrated from France to the US. She is a Software Engineer by trade with a BA in Computer Sciences. She enjoys teaching French and brings so much fun to the class, especially the students who are ready for a trip to see Paris in the future.
Music & Guitar Classes
Mr. Bui is a Musician & Composer.
He teaches Music and guitar lessons for SCSC.


Yoga Meditation Classes
MBA and BS EE at UCLA. He graduated from Mindful Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training; Spirit Rock Students in this class learn to cultivate a peaceful and serene state of mind, nurturing their spirits and promoting overall well-being. These classes not only contribute to maintaining good mental and emotional health but also support physical well-being. His mild, tranquil composure and his modesty set an example for his yoga students.
Art Class
B.A. in Arts, Cal State Fullerton; A well-known artist with exhibitions of her art works or together with other artists in LA and Orange. Her teaching technique allows her students to uncover their artistic talents and appreciation of the art and art objects from a sunrise or sunset, the cloud in the horizon, the water flowing between trees and rock formation. She encourages students to immerse themselves in the freedom of their imagination to recreate their life experiences through art, thereby to have an enchanted life lived in full.
Mrs. Thuy Vinh is simple, kind, and friendly. She is admired and loved by her students and an invaluable asset of SCSC.


Computer Class for Fun
Computers have become an integral part of modern life. This class provides social connection, entertainment, and personal development for our seniors.
Mr. Nguyen earned his MS in Computer Science at the University of Hartford. He has over 40 years of experience in various areas of IT which includes banking, aerospace, as well as software technical support.
